Oar-Gee Lures were the first in Australia to develop a process whereby we could paint the polycarbonate bibs in our lures.
The process we have developed allows us to continue the body colours all the way to the end of the bib, without affecting the properties of the polycarbonate, whilst still maintaining maximum adhesion of the paint to the bib.
Polycarbonate painted in a conventional method, similar to those used to paint the body of the lure results in the polycarbonate becoming very brittle and in all cases the paint will peel off, our process eliminated both of these problems.
This process enables us to visually expand the lure size while maintaining the body size of the original lure.
We are for now only painting the bibs in the 75mm Plow 7.6mt and 4.5mt sizes.
These two lures are exactly the same as the 75mm Plow model but now with an overall visual length of 125mm for the 7.6mt and 115mm for the 4.5mt model.
For those anglers wishing to cast or troll a big lure but are put off by the bulk of lures in the 120mm plus body size will find the painted bib option considerably better, and as easy to use as our normal 75mm Plow.
