After 2 years preparation we attended the South African Fishing Tackle Distributers Trade Show in Johannesburg in August 2013. The show was very successful with a lot of interest in our lures and our partners Tiger Lures.
After the show we took a road trip from Johannesburg in South Africa to Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe. it is difficult to describe the trip, magnificent, breathtaking, raw, beautiful, wild and exciting are just some of the words that come to mind.
Elephants blocking the road to our motel in Kariba, Giraffes by the side of the road, monkeys and Zebra and the Tiger Fish.
We stayed on the Liberty Bell House boat for our stay on Lake Kariba and the service from the crew was exemplary.
Our trip back to Johannesburg consisted of a ferry ride the length of Lake Kariba some 300ms, a stay at Mikado a private farm a visit to another private game park where we caught Large Mouth Bass and had tea with the wild Ryno’s and a myriad of other wild animals, all thanks to our South African distributers who were not only fantastic tour guides but now very close and cherished friends.
We can’t wait for them to come out to Australia to show them our country and maybe a Barra and a Murray Cod or two.
